Amongst Trees – A Place To Heal
At the Forest Healing Sphere, we envision a world where individuals are deeply connected with nature, experiencing the restorative power of the forest for holistic wellness. Our vision is to foster a community that finds balance and harmony in their “kokoro” – the unity of heart, mind, and spirit, through the practice of “shinrin-yoku” or forest bathing. We aim to contribute to the transformation of individual and societal well-being, emphasizing the importance of sustainable living and environmental conservation for the health of our planet and future generations.
At Forest Healing Sphere, we pride ourselves on our thoughtfully designed facilities, harmoniously blending with nature to create an immersive, healing experience. Our property features carefully crafted Shinrin Yoku paths for forest bathing, a sustainable forest garden, and both outdoor and indoor kitchens where you can savor delicious, nourishing meals. Our comprehensive library and research room offer a wealth of knowledge and resources, while our multi-functional hall serves as a serene space for Shinrin Yoku, yoga, and meditation sessions. The common area encourages relaxation and social connection, and our Sentō (銭湯) provides a soothing environment for rejuvenation. Our minimalist, eco-friendly accommodations ensure a comfortable stay, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the healing power of nature.
The journey of Forest Healing Sphere began with a deep longing for a safe and non-judgmental space to heal, grow, and find a voice amidst the chaos of the world. Our founder envisioned this sanctuary, a place that would provide solace and comfort, as she closed her eyes before falling asleep each night .
Initially, this healing haven was an imaginary refuge – a beautiful escape within the mind of our founder, where she felt protected and empowered to discover her true voice. Soon she realised that her strong emotional connection with forest leads to something bigger than herself. As time passed, the vision grew stronger, and the desire to bring this safe space to life became irresistible.
At the Forest Healing Sphere Blog, we are dedicated to sharing insightful content that covers a wide range of topics related to nature, mental well-being, and sustainable living. Our blog features articles on the benefits of Shinrin Yoku and its impact on mental health, practical tips for incorporating ecotherapy into daily life, and the importance of self-care and mindfulness practices. Additionally, we explore sustainable design and architecture, biophilic design principles, and the connection between food sustainability and mental health. Our blog also highlights stories of local collaboration, community involvement, and our commitment to environmental conservation efforts. By sharing this wealth of information, we aim to inspire our readers to embrace nature-based practices and foster a deeper connection to the natural world.
At Forest Healing Sphere, we offer a diverse range of activities designed to align with our mission and vision of reconnecting individuals with nature, promoting well-being, environmental conservation, and sustainable development. Our immersive ecotourism experiences blend the practice of shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), and environmental conservation. We provide a dedicated space for Shinrin Yoku Guide trainings, forest bathing experiences, meditation, yoga, and other relaxation techniques tailored to meet the diverse needs of our visitors.
Alongside these transformative experiences, we support environmental conservation efforts through the restoration and preservation of forest ecosystems. We also actively collaborate with local communities, incorporate sustainable food practices, and embrace biophilic design in our architecture. By offering these activities, we aim to cultivate a deeper appreciation for the natural world, contributing to the well-being of individuals and the planet as a whole.
